On a carpet of flowers,Sant Boi
In Sant Boi de Llobregat we bring kids’ shows, storytelling, face painting and balloon twisting to schools, local groups and birthdays, in the town that every May covers the rambla Rafael Casanova in flowers.
In Sant Boi, May is the big month. The Festa Major de Sant Baldiri ends with a fireworks-and-music display in the Parc de la Muntanyeta, and a week later comes the Capvuitada, with its carpets of flowers. Then the party moves from neighbourhood to neighbourhood until the end of June.
The children’s programme gives good clues: the Fira del Joc i l'Aventura fills the Muntanyeta with family games, a baby area and face painting, with spells without music for anyone who needs calm. For a school or a local group, a face painting and balloon twisting corner plays the same part.
Sant Boi also has its bestiary: a correfoc by the colles de diables (the devils’ troupes), the gegants and the Mulassa. A town that turns out to welcome its beasts does not scare easily at Halloween.

How long does it take us to get here?
We set off from Vilanova i la Geltrú and head up the coast: about 37 km to Sant Boi, around half an hour. Tell us the neighbourhood when you ask for your quote and we will tell you what time we will arrive.
What people ask us
Can you come to our neighbourhood party?
Yes, as an offer for the committee that organises it. Camps Blancs, Marianao, Casablanca and Ciutat Cooperativa celebrate one after another between May and June, so it is best to ask for a date early.
Can we hold the party in the Parc de la Muntanyeta?
It is the park for Sant Boi’s big occasions: the Festa Major’s fireworks-and-music display, the Fira del Joc i l'Aventura and the welcome for the Three Kings all happen there. For a party of your own, permission is up to the Ajuntament, under its bylaw on civic behaviour and coexistence; we will tell you how much space whatever you choose needs.
Do you have anything for the youngest ones, who get overwhelmed at the big festival?
At home everything is calmer. Show Express lasts 45 minutes, which is how long they last from 1 to 6, and everything revolves around the birthday child.
