Parties inGavà

In Gavà we bring face painting and balloon twisting, kids’ shows and foam to schools, clubs and birthdays. A town that celebrates Sant Pere with a cercavila, a festive parade, that soaks everyone who passes already knows what a party with water is like.

Gavà looks in two directions at once: to the market gardens, which bring the asparagus to its spring fair, and to the beach, some four kilometres between Les Marines, Gavà and L'Estany, with play areas for children. And underneath it keeps some Neolithic mines that are now an archaeological park.

The Festa Major de Sant Pere brings a children’s correfoc, the fire run, a water cercavila and a corner of their own for the little ones, El Petit Sant Pere, in the Parc de la Torre Lluc. For a school’s end-of-year party, which falls in those same weeks, a foam party follows the same thread, if there is a water tap nearby.

In Gavà Mar or in the centre, a birthday at home needs little room. And if there is a garden, the bouncy castles are chosen by measuring the space.

When is it party time here?

in late April or early May
Fira d'Espàrrecs, the asparagus fair, which usually brings music to the plaça de Jaume Balmes.
in spring
Falles de la Casa de València, with Moros i Cristians and the cremà.
in late June
Festa Major de Sant Pere, with the 29th as the main day and fireworks on the beach.

Which show fits here?

  • Superhero Camp

    Superhero Camp

In a town with a children’s correfoc, hero training with agility tests and dance challenges is a fine way to round off the year at a school or a club.

For a birthday at home: while one artist paints, Tito makes a balloon figure for every child. If someone asks for an asparagus, we give it a go.

How long does it take us to get here?

We set off from Vilanova i la Geltrú along the C-32: about 32 km to Gavà, just over 25 minutes. If the party is near the beach or in the town centre, tell us when you ask for your quote and we will tell you when we will arrive.

What people ask us

Can you set up on the beach in Gavà?

At Sant Pere the sand is already part of the party: the Ciutat de Gavà beach volleyball tournament is played opposite carrer Sitges, and the fireworks go off on the beach. To set up something of your own, Gavà has its bylaw on beach use and the Ajuntament has the last word: ask there first.

Do you have anything for the Fira d'Espàrrecs or for Falles?

For a fair, the face painting and balloon twisting corner, with a wristband so every child waits while they play. And on request, designs of our own, prepared together with the organisers.

And if the birthday falls right in the middle of the Festa Major?

It can happen: Sant Pere is on 29 June, and those days bring festivals, end-of-year parties and verbenas all at once. It is best to ask us for the date in good time.
