Top of the classat playtime

Shows, face painting and the foam party, for schools and parent associations and all year round: from the Castanyada to the last day of June. You choose the date and the playground; we arrive with the sound system, set up, throw the party and, when it ends, take away everything we brought.

The school calendar,party edition

  1. Castanyada and Halloween

    in late October

In Monster Fever, Cuca, Vex and Luna have to rescue the Sweet Cauldron, and to do it they turn the audience into an army of little dancing monsters; the families get up and dance too. Here being scary is a game, and the best dancer wins. For the Castanyada in the playground, Face Painting & Balloons, and the wristband keeps each child’s place, so nobody stands in line. And if the school has its own theme, the design is made to measure, as we also do outside schools: for the Halloween at the Masia Vilanoveta we prepared them together with its organisers.

  2. Christmas

    before the December holidays

In The Christmas Mission, the Grinch has stolen Christmas and Santa’s workshop will not start: the whole audience works as a team to get it back, and at the end Santa and the Grinch turn up in person. In Santa's Magic Visit, every child hands over their letter and leaves with their photo, while the Elf keeps the queue busy with games. The menu “The Christmas morning” puts the two together in a single set-up: a good way to close the first term.

  3. Carnival

    in February or March

In Let the Carnival Begin!, Cuca and the Cuquis hunt for the spark of the party with challenges, routines and a costume catwalk, and it all ends with the whole playground dancing: the costume made in class finally gets its moment. In The Big Dance, Mickey and Minnie want to lead the parade but do not know the steps, so the audience teaches them. And Face Painting & Balloons, so every class comes out matching its costume.

  4. Theme days and culture week

    whenever the school sets it

Two storytelling shows with the audience inside the story. In The Sparks, a lovable mascot teaches everyone to recognise joy, anger or fear, and each emotion is painted live on the skin of a volunteer. In Colour Kisses, every child decides what colour a kiss is and the story grows with all the answers: a gentle way to practise something hard, listening before giving an opinion.

  5. End of the school year

    in June

The Foam Party is for up to a hundred people, aged 5 to 99, and three members of the team run it: an artist who leads the dancing and games from inside, another on the cannon and another on the sound. The foam is certified, hypoallergenic, pH-neutral and biodegradable: it washes off with water, and clothes go home the way they came. If the whole school comes down to the playground, the Plus brings three cannons, for two hundred. The Holi Show dyes everyone from head to toe with powder that washes off with water, with no allergens and no gluten, and the menu “The foam and colour afternoon” puts the two together for big crowds.

  6. Infant school graduation

at the end of P5, age 5 to 6

To say goodbye to the early years, a story they are part of. In Rapunzel and the Magic Book, Cuca starts telling it and Rapunzel steps out of the book to tell it herself, with music, games and challenges in which the children help the princess. Face painting can be added.

And if the playground is asking for bouncing, there are inflatables too: white models, different from the birthday ones. Ask for them with the proposal and we will tell you which ones suit your space.

The small print,in big letters

  1. You ask in two minutes

The day, how many children are coming and where. If you like, pick up to four shows from the catalogue and we fit them into the same proposal.

  2. Within 24 hours, the full proposal

What happens, at what time, who comes and what it costs, in a fixed quote with 21 % VAT itemised. What the paper says is what will happen in the playground.

  3. The date, held with the deposit

The rest is paid once the party is over.

  4. The invoice, within five working days

At most, and with VAT itemised, ready for the association’s or the school’s accounts.

  5. Public liability insurance

It covers everything we do at the school, and damage to third parties too, for as long as the activity lasts.

  6. Set-up and take-down included

We arrive 15 to 30 minutes early, with the sound system, its technician and a coordinator. When it ends, we pack up what is ours.

  7. Professionals, with their papers in order

Everyone who comes into the school is paid to be there, follows the same protocol and has their documents in order; if the school asks for them, we send them over. Behind them is a team of more than 25 artists: if someone cannot make it, there is cover.

  8. Plan B, agreed when you sign

If the day does not cooperate, the party carries on indoors: the gym, the covered porch or the main hall. We choose it together when you sign, so the rain catches nobody off guard.

  9. Photos, as the school decides

Some schools want the memories and some prefer that nobody appears. Either is fine, and the school decides.

Five metres by fiveand a room with a door

A clear space
Almost any playground will do, as long as the fun fits. (5 × 5 m clear of obstacles. Indoors, at least 2.5 m of ceiling height.)
Two sockets nearby
For the sound. (Within 20 m. Outdoors, if there are none, we bring a battery.)
For the foam, grass and water
Grass is best, or ground that does not raise dust, so it does not turn into a mud bath, and water close at hand for the hose.
For face painting, shade
In June, a shady corner: both the children and the make-up last longer. A socket helps if there is one; in daylight it is not usually needed.
A classroom with a door to change in
Close to where the party is.
Somewhere to unload nearby
So we can arrive with all the kit. (Within 500 m.)
During the show, just the show
No other activity in the same space at the same time. (Background noise below 70 dB.)
An adult from the school from start to finish
At a school, the teachers already have that covered.

What the association asksbefore the vote

How many artists do we need for our number of children, and how long does it last?

It depends on what you choose. For face painting, the house rule is one artist, twelve children, one hour: with sixty children in an hour, five artists come. The foam lasts an hour and is for up to a hundred people; the Plus, with three cannons, for two hundred. The catalogue shows last between 30 and 60 minutes, and the visits have no clock. In the proposal we tell you who is coming and for how long.

Will the proposal wait for the committee to approve it?

Yes. It stays open while the association’s committee approves it, so you can take it to the next meeting without rushing. Once you vote yes, the date is held with the deposit.

Can the invoice be in the association’s name?

Yes, with the association’s name and details. And if the school is the one booking, it goes in the school’s name: the invoice follows whoever signs.

Do you have public liability insurance?

Yes. If the school or the association needs to see it in writing, we send you a copy of the policy.

What happens if it rains on the day?

Outdoors we set up between 5 and 35 °C, with wind below 25 km/h and any storm more than ten kilometres away. If the day falls outside that, the party moves under a roof, to the place we chose together; at a school it is usually close at hand.

What does the foam party need?

A space of at least 6 × 8 m, ideally grass; a hose water point within 10 m and three ordinary sockets within 10 m. If the water is far away or the playground is tighter, there is a version with two smaller cannons and its own tank, for about 70 people: just ask.

Do the children appear in the photos?

During the show we take photos and video. If your school prefers nobody to appear, tell us in writing before the party and that is how it will be.

What is your schoolcelebrating?

Three details are enough: what day, how many children and which playground. Within 24 hours the proposal reaches you, fixed and with VAT itemised, in time for the association’s next meeting.

Your Disparate is empty.
